The task was tough from the get go for the Southern Prep football team last week. It had No. 4 ranked Lowndes Academy, which had almost cemented its spot in the AISA state title game for nearly a decade.

And seemingly, the prowess got the better of the Rangers, falling 48-13 last week to the Rebels. But then again, the season moves on and this week presents the Rangers with a great opportunity to get back in the win column.
