The Tallapoosa Board of Education met to prepare for its upcoming Nov. 10 board meeting.
With the goal of allocating all of the Alabama Advancement and Technology fund, Tallapoosa County Schools superintendent Casey Davis advised the board to approve funding reallocation from roof projects at the Dadeville High School agricultural building; the west wing at Dadeville Elementary School; door and bleacher upgrades at Horseshoe Bend School; and extending a walkway at DES. The estimated budget for the roofing projects was $1 million. Davis said more funds were allocated for the roofs than needed and not enough for the other projects.
