A Coosada man has been sentenced to prison following convictions for methamphetamine distribution and the illegal possession of a firearm.

According to a release from the United States Department of Justice, last Wednesday, a federal judge sentenced Deandre Maurice Jennings, 39, of Coosada, to 130 months in prison. Following his term of imprisonment, Jennings will serve five years of supervised release. There is no parole in the federal system.
