Holtville's Parker Pressley and the Bulldogs look to pick up their second win of the season against Sylacauga this Friday. Holtville is coming off a dominant win over Shelby County.

The Holtville Bulldogs are headed into the first week of region competition with major momentum after their dominant 35-13 win against Shelby County. Second-year coach Cory Lee and Holtville travel to take on Sylacauga for Week 3. 

Last season’s matchup against the Aggies was Holtville’s first win of the season. This year, they enter the matchup with far more confidence, experience and momentum. The Bulldogs showed what they were capable of against the Shelby County Wildcats last week, putting up 456 yards of total offense with senior quarterback Jacob Burgess leading the charge with 262 passing yards for 321 total yards. Junior running back Daishaun Zeigler also continued his impact play as the team’s leading rusher with 83 yards.
