Wetumpka Elementary School could have been mistaken for a big gala Thursday night as it hosted Art Under the Stars. The program features WES student art hanging from the galleries in the hallways of the school. Students created pieces lit by blacklights and by “stars.” In some cases the halls mimic outdoor spaces at night and all are modified to appear at fancy art galleries. For more than 25 years student art work has been collected throughout the school year and then displayed in one show as the halls become galleries.
