Wetumpka shooting cases headed to grand jury

Cases involving Daveyun Stinson in April shootings in Wetumpka will be heard by an Elmore County Grand Jury.

Last week, Stinson, 20, of Wetumpka, went before Elmore County District Court Judge Glen Goggans for a preliminary hearing for attempted murder and reckless endangerment regarding an April 19 shooting in a Wetumpka convenience store and offenses related to an April 12 shooting on South Shelby Street that injured one victim. Those charges are first-degree assault, discharging into an occupied dwelling, discharging a firearm into an unoccupied vehicle and six counts of reckless endangerment.
