With the end of the volleyball season approaching quickly, the Elmore County Panthers have set themselves up to claim another area title. On Thursday night in Eclectic, the Panthers defeated AHSAA Class 5A Area 7 rivals the Beauregard Hornets in four sets.
The Hornets jumped out to an early lead in the first set, but, with their home crowd behind them, Elmore County came back to claim the first set, 25-22. They continued that momentum through the second set although the Hornets refused to go down without a fight. Still, they claimed the second set in a dominant performance, 25-20.
