Elmore County's Seth McGhee (3) looks to thwart a Marbury defender during Friday night's game.

It’s been a rough couple of weeks for the once-optimistic Elmore County High Panthers. But a pair of last-second football losses — at Clay Central and at home against Valley — went a long way to dash their high hopes.
