Wetumpka at Percy Julian

File / TPI

In a win against region opponent Percy Julian last week, Wetumpka defensive back Emerson Paulk picked up an interception and 10 total tackles. Paulk and the Indians are back on the gridiron Friday night.

The Wetumpka Indians are looking for their fourth straight win, this week against region opponent Park Crossing.

Last week, the Indians bested another Class 6A Region 2 team in Percy Julian, 34-20, at the Crampton Bowl on Thursday night. It was not Wetumpka’s best performance of the season by any means, but they did enough to come away with the win. Sophomore quarterback Charlie Skipper led the way for the offense yet again, totaling 229 yards and three passing touchdowns on the night. Skipper managed to find sophomore wideout Kaleb Ballard in the end zone twice.Â
