The Wetumpka Indians picked up their thirteenth win at Tallassee, a non-area opponent, on Friday night. Andrew Voyles led the team with 23 points, adding four steals, four assists and four rebounds.
After suffering a tough loss to Prattville on Thursday night — only Wetumpka’s fourth boys basketball loss of the season — the Indians rebounded with a dominant non-area win at Tallassee on Friday, 67-39.
It was a showing of their depth in the forward position, as the Indians were missing senior center John Hudson Wingard to the North-South All Star football game throughout the week. Tom Suddith stepped up to the plate, filling the role and contributing to the win, especially on the defensive end of the floor.
