Mysti Shamblin

Investigators are still waiting for toxicology reports from a Jan. 18 wreck on Alabama Highway 14 that left one dead and another charged with driving under the influence and manslaughter. But other details surrounding the crash were revealed during a preliminary hearing Wednesday.

Law enforcement had already reported Mysti Shamblin, 39, of Deatsville, left her lane of travel and collided with Victory Purdy, 36, of Prattville. Officers involved in the investigation said at the hearing Shamblin crossed two lanes before striking Purdy’s vehicle.
