Elmore County Schools have been recognized across the state for its innovative child nutrition program. Its initiatives have garnered attention for farm to table efforts, participation and efficiency.

This past weekend, Norine Williams from the Wetumpka High School cafeteria was recognized as the Alabama State Child Nutrition Program employee of the year. Elmore County Schools CNP director Cacye Davis said the school system and CNP program sees the difference she is making in the lives of students.
