A Montgomery robbery suspect led the Montgomery Police Department on a chase into Wetumpka on Sunday morning.

As Elmore County residents started going to church Sunday, many discovered a heavy law enforcement presence at the closed rest area on U.S. Highway 231 in south Wetumpka. Some posted on social media about the presence of law enforcement, questioning what was happening.
