An Ohatchee man is dead after a single-vehicle crash that occurred at 9:40 a.m. Sunday morning according to a press release from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency. 

The release stated David P. Sharp, 56, was critically injured when the 2007 Harley-Davidson motorcycle he was operating left the roadway and struck a tree. Sharp was transported to the Coosa Valley Medical Center in Sylacauga, where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.
