2 arrested for trafficking marijuana

A pair of Alexander City residents found themselves in the Tallapoosa County Jail after a search of their vehicle and home were searched by law enforcement.

According to a press release from the Tallapoosa County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy conducted a traffic stop on Friday, July 17, on Jefferson Street in Alex City for a traffic violation. During the stop, the deputy devolved probable cause to conduct a vehicle search and located 2 ½ ounces of marijuana, according to the release.
