In July of 2024, Central Coosa made a decision that seemed to continue the cycle of new faces stepping in to lead the football program with the hiring of Daniel Flowers. And in Year 1, it almost felt as though that was the case.
With practically no offseason and just a few weeks to implement a playbook, the Cougars went into 2024-2025 with low expectations. They opened the year with loss-after-loss dropping them out of playoff contention almost as quickly as they entered the season and ultimately finished the year 1-9. But to a degree, that was almost the expectation for Central Coosa football, which had only one winning season since 1988.
