Curtis Jackie Payne, 48, of Jackson’s Gap, was arrested Wednesday on charges of trafficking methamphetamines.

Court documents state Payne was arrested for an incident that occurred on County Road 34 in Tallapoosa County on March 14. He allegedly had 28 grams or more of methamphetamines in his possession. Payne was also charged with first-degree possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
