With a dozen years of volunteering with Alexander City Theatre II under her belt, Christale Tuck believes the organization does more than just provide quality theatre to Alexander City residents.
Members of the Alexander City Kiwanis Club made a donation to Alexander City Theatre II for its summer production of Winnie the Pooh.

“I tell people all the time that everybody is not going to be a cheerleader, they're not going to be an athlete, they're not going to play a sport, so we need to have different avenues for these kids,” said Tuck, a 20-year teaching veteran. “I think arts is where we need to be looking.”

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning
or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke.
To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and
Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in
shaded or air conditioned environments. Anyone overcome by heat
should be moved to a cool and shaded location. Heat stroke is an
emergency! Call 9 1 1.
