Offensive linemen are the ones on the field who make the largest impact and get the least of the glory. And one of the most crucial positions on the line is the left tackle, the blindside protector. For Benjamin Russell, Daniel Burns held that distinction this year — and he dominated.

Standing at 6-foot-3 and 280 pounds, Burns had a knack for moving bodies off the ball, and more often than not, into the ground. All of that culminated in him accruing nine total Division I scholarship offers to play at the next level. Schools like Kentucky, West Virginia and Jackson State all tried to nab the standout offensive lineman, but one won the battle.
