Benjamin Russell’s volleyball season came to a close Wednesday as the Wildcats fell to Wetumpka in three straight sets in the Class 5A Area 4 tournament, ending their postseason run despite a determined effort to keep their season alive.

The Wildcats battled throughout the match, showing resilience on defense and finding stretches of offensive rhythm against a Wetumpka team that applied consistent pressure with its serving and attacking. However, the Indians’ ability to capitalize on scoring opportunities proved decisive, as they secured a 25-22, 25-22, 25-18 sweep.
