About a month after Mary Brooks’ daughter, Mary Ashley Brooks, was diagnosed with breast cancer at the young age of 34, the seriousness of the situation hit her hard.

“It hit me about a month later,” Mary said. “I just busted out crying ‘Not my baby girl!’ I got OK after my pastor prayed with me.”
