A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 5:30 p.m. Thursday has claimed the life of a Sylacauga man. 

According to a press release from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, Charles E. Kelley Jr., 58, of Sylacauga, was fatally injured when the 2009 Suzuki C50K9 Boulevard motorcycle he was operating left the roadway and struck a tree. Kelley was thrown from the motorcycle and was pronounced deceased at the scene, the release stated.
