Sixty-seven percent of the Horseshoe Bend volleyball roster will be seniors, most of whom were sophomore contributors for the Generals en route to the Class 2A State Tournament back in 2024. And that experience alone could bring the Generals back to state; however, this year out of the North.
“They spend a lot of time together,” coach Hagen Whiteard said of her seniors. “It's a lot of fun to watch them when they've got that chemistry rolling, and it's a good day. But when they're on it and they're having a good time and they're doing what they're supposed to, it's a lot of fun to watch because they're out there having a good time. Everybody around them's having a good time, and everything just flows. And I think that comes from, you know, the fact that they are all so close and they've been playing together for so long.”
