With a very short agenda, Alexander City Mayor Mike Densmore used his time at Monday night’s Alex City City Council meeting to motivate the council.

“One year ago tonight we were sworn in, and I want to give you a report,” Densmore said. “Fiscal year ‘26, we were under budget by $2.6 million, and our cash on hand in the general budget went up $2.8 million. We are $2.8 million dollars healthier than we were this time last year.”
