When the late Dr. Runas Powers’ children decided to honor their parents, they wanted to do something meaningful.

The late Dr. Runas Powers’ children have set up a scholarship fund to honor his legacy.

“After my dad passed, in lieu of flowers, I asked for a financial gift, and that's when I started the scholarship,” Tiffany Powers-Reid said. “That was in 2021. My dad and my mom walked all the time. That was their exercising choice. In fact, he passed while walking. So I always knew at some point I wanted to turn this into a walking event.”
