A day of remembrance

When Cordell Johnson of Opelika was four years old his father, Officer Roland Hicks, Jr., of Camp Hill Police Department (CHPD) died in the line of duty, August 10, 1969.

On Tuesday, May 17 at 11 a.m. Johnson and many other family members of fallen law enforcement officers gathered near the steps of Alexander City’s Police Department (ACPD) for the 15th Annual Law Enforcement Memorial Service.
