During the statewide winter storms on Tuesday, Alexander City did not receive any snow.

In the midst of closed schools, freezing temperatures and snowstorms in parts of Tallapoosa County, Alexander City just missed the mark for a snowstorm.

Throughout the week, the National Weather Service issued a cold weather advisory and winter storm watch leading Gov. Kay Ivey to issue a state of emergency throughout 39 counties.
