An Alexander City man has been taken to the Tallapoosa County Jail after shooting at a home on Ninth Avenue in Alex City.

Vantavious Westbrook was arrested on scene, according to Alexander City Police Department Sgt. Drew Machen. The department responded to a call for shots fired at about 11:40 a.m. Friday. The only thing hit was another home, Machen said, and Westbrook was charged with shooting into an occupied dwelling.
