Alexander City’s own ‘Toot Toot’ seriously injured after being hit by vehicle

One of the most well-known faces in Alexander City is in the hospital at the University of Alabama-Birmingham after he was struck by a vehicle Sunday evening.

Thomas Jacob Marbury Jr., known to most area residents as Toot-Toot, was struck by a vehicle at about 8:40 p.m. Sunday as he crossed Tallapoosa Street, according to Alexander City Police Department Deputy Chief Jay Turner.
