Alex City Farmers Market had the usual homegrown, handmade and fresh-baked goodies one imagines when thinking of a farmers market. There was fresh produce, baked goods, canned jams and jellies, boiled and roasted peanuts, fresh meats, fresh flowers, handcrafted candles, handcrafted keychains and more. The local humane society had kittens and puppies available for adoption, one vendor was selling jewelry made of gummy candies and one vendor — Sherri Reese — was campaigning for Senate District 27.
