Auction success puts Wellborn, Alex City on the ‘car world map’

To watch Pam and Tim Wellborn on the floor of Mecum’s Kissimmee Auction last week you would have never known the churning feeling both felt inside.

The Wellborn’s sold 22 of the 24 classic musclecars that they took to the auction, fetching a record $4.2 million dollars. While all that money is nice, “stressful” is the word that Tim used to describe the experience.
