A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 11:20 p.m. Friday, Aug. 18, has claimed the life of an Alexander City juvenile, according to a release sent by the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

The 17-year-old was fatally injured when the 2006 Toyota Tundra the teen was driving left the roadway and struck an embankment. According to law enforcement, the youth was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash, was ejected and pronounced deceased at the scene.Â
