The Town of Camp Hill is preparing for the new year.
During Monday’s meeting, the council approved the town holidays for the year 2025. The holidays include Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Presidents’ Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Indigenous Peoples Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving, which will be a half day Nov. 26, full days off for the 27 and 28, Christmas, which will be a half day Dec. 24 and full days off for the 25 and 26, half day for New Year’s Eve and a full day off New Year’s Day 2026.Â

* WHAT...Visibility one quarter mile or less in dense fog.
* WHERE...Autauga, Barbour, Bullock, Calhoun, Chambers, Chilton,
Clay, Cleburne, Coosa, Dallas, Elmore, Lee, Lowndes, Macon,
Montgomery, Pike, Randolph, Russell, Shelby, St. Clair, Talladega,
and Tallapoosa Counties.
* WHEN...Until 8 AM CST Saturday.
* IMPACTS...Low visibility could make driving conditions hazardous.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Lowest visibility due to dense fog is
expected within valley locations and along the major river basins
including the Coosa, Tallapoosa, and Alabama River. Bridges that
cross over these major rivers will likely be covered in fog
through early Saturday morning.
