A tornado that touched down in Coosa County and left damage in Elmore County Monday has been rated an EF-0 by the National Weather Service in Birmingham.

“It was just a cold front that is working its way through, and yesterday some storms developed down near the coast,” said meteorologist Kevin Laws. “The winds were just enough that a lot of those storms yesterday were rotating, and this is the only one that touched down.”
