Coosa football stadium vandalized

Painted: The new mural at Central High School’s stadium was vandalized Thursday night. School employees painted over the graffiti on the mural by noon on Friday, although paint could still be seen on the stadium seats. | Katie Cole

Students arriving at Central High School on Friday morning were greeted by an unwelcome sight.

The newly painted mural on the press box at Central Stadium had been spray painted Thursday night. White numerals covered the blue and gray paint on the mural and “Haha, you suck” was scrawled in large writing on the uppermost stadium seat.
