A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 3:15 p.m. Wednesday in Tallapoosa County has claimed the life of a Tallassee man. 

William D. Gantt, 21, was fatally injured when the 2007 Buell Blast motorcycle he was operating left the roadway and struck a tree. Gantt was pronounced deceased at the scene.
