The Alexander City Fire Department will receive a brand new fire truck after the City of Alexander City City Council approved the lease agreement of a Sutphen custom SP70 Aerial Truck.Â
The council approved a resolution to authorize Alex City Mayor Woody Baird to sign all documents related to the lease agreement. At the end of the lease agreement, the ACFD will own this truck, Baird said.

Eclectic. Movement was southeast at 40 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
