Free meals offered again at city schools this year

The school district has once again qualified for a Community Eligibility Provision, which will allow all students to enjoy breakfast and lunch at no cost for the upcoming school year.

Students at Alexander City Schools will once again have the opportunity to eat free this school year.

According to Donette Worthy, director of the child nutrition program, all students are eligible for free breakfast and lunch as the school district has qualified for a second year in a row for the USDA’s Community Eligibility Provision (CEP).
