As part of a campaign to improve recreation in Alabama, Gov. Kay Ivey has officially approved funding for the walking trail in New Site, which will be coming by the end of this year.

“These projects will benefit people of all ages and provide them with even more reasons to enjoy Alabama’s outdoors,” Ivey said in a press release. “I am pleased to award these grants that will increase recreation opportunities for many residents while making these communities better places to live.”
