The bill that would remove the four percent state sales tax on groceries has yet to be discussed on the floors of either house of the Alabama Legislature.

The bill, which would remove some grocery tax and cover lost revenue by limiting the amount of paid federal income tax deducted from state taxes by some higher income taxpayers, has stalled in the House.
