Derrick Hightower has been found guilty of the capital murders of a Dadeville couple back in 2020.

After more than two days of deliberation, a jury of 12 people found Hightower, 37, of Columbus, Georgia, guilty as charged on all charges relating to the deaths of Willie and Barbara Tidwell. He was found guilty on two counts of capital murder while committing a robbery, capital murder while committing a burglary, capital murder causing the deaths of two or more people and second-degree theft.
