Many businesses will be closed today to observe the Thanksgiving holiday, aside from a few retail and convenient stores. Below is a list of closings for Alexander City and Dadeville.
 The Tallapoosa County Courthouse in Dadeville and the Courthouse Annex in Alexander City will be closed today and Friday, Nov. 25. Normal business hours will resume Monday, Nov. 28.
 Alexander City Hall and Dadeville City Hall will be closed today and Friday, Nov. 25, and will resume regular hours Monday, Nov. 28.
The Alexander City Chamber of Commerce will be closed today and Friday, Nov. 25, and will open again Monday, Nov. 28, just a day before its Quarterly Luncheon.
The Dadeville Chamber of Commerce will be closed today. It will open again Friday, Nov. 25, during regular business hours, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Adelia M. Russell Library and Mamie’s Place Children’s Library in Alexander City will be closed today and Friday, Nov. 25 and will resume normal hours again on Monday, Nov. 28.
Dadeville Public Library will be closed today, Friday, Nov. 25, and Saturday, Nov. 26. DPL will resume normal hours Monday, Nov. 28.
Aliant Bank in Alexander City and Dadeville, Regions Bank, BB&T Bank, Wells Fargo, and RBC Bank in Dadeville will be closed today and will resume normal business hours on Friday, Nov. 25.
Mutual Savings Credit Union in Alexander City will be closed today and Friday, Nov. 25, and will resume regular business hours Monday, Nov. 28.
All United State Post Offices will be closed today and will resume business Friday, Nov. 25.
Waste Management garbage service customers in Dadeville who normally have their garbage picked up on Thursday will have their garbage picked up Friday, Nov. 25.
Advanced Disposal garbage service customers in Alexander City who normally have their garbage picked up on Thursday and Friday will have their garbage picked up on day later.
