Before Horseshoe Bend’s seniors walked across the stage to receive their diplomas Thursday night, the school hosted its Senior Awards Day. Many of the seniors have been at HBS since kindergarten, waiting 13 years for this graduation.

“As of today, we are one step closer to giving our teachers what they have dreamed of since 2011, our departure — but what they don’t realize is we are just as ready to jump ship as they may be to push us overboard,” class president Christian Brown joked during the welcoming. “Our time here has taught us a lot. It is up to us to decide which path we should follow. I wish us all a future full of life’s greatest achievements, but let’s remember where it all began.”
