The Jackson’s Gap town council unanimously approved the request for a liquor license at its meeting Tuesday.

Buddy Baker appeared before the council to announce his plan to open a country bar in the former Veterans of Foreign Wars post. He explained the lounge would have karaoke a few nights a week and also feature live music.
