After an inspection by the Alabama Health Department, the Tallapoosa County Jail kitchen scored a perfect 100 for overall health safety and quality.
The Alabama Health Department performs routine inspections for all food establishments throughout the state. According to the Alabama Public Health website, establishments are evaluated for various criteria. Management and personnel are evaluated on their personal hygiene, food handling safety and demonstration of knowledge.
