George McCain has announced his candidacy for the Alabama House of Representatives District 31 which includes Elmore and Coosa counties. The seat was vacated by Barry Mask Sept. 30 and a special election will be announced by Gov. Robert Bentley.

McCain is the former mayor of Tallassee and is former executive director and governmental affairs director for the Greater Montgomery Home Builders Association.
