Lake Martin soon will have not one, but two fire towers overlooking the area.

Many are well-acquainted with Smith Mountain’s Fire Tower, but Cherokee Ridge Alpine Trail Association (CRATA) is building another fire tower near the Cherokee Ridge Alpine Trail and Overlook Park, centrally located between Tallassee, Eclectic and Dadeville. CRATA has emphasized that while this is exciting the Overlook fire tower is not open yet.
