Tallapoosa County has once again decided not to remove the one-cent sales tax from items during August as part of the states sales tax holiday.

The Tallapoosa County Commission voted unanimously during their Monday morning meeting to not participate in the weekend taking place from Aug. 7-9, in order to allow area schools to keep the funds.
