Potentially deadly virus found in animal in Camp Hill

The northern short-tailed shrew, found in Camp Hill, was discovered to have a henipavirus. 

A new species of henipavirus was found in an animal in Camp Hill, Alabama, according to an article by Howard Koplowitz of AL.com.

The novel Camp Hill virus was discovered after Auburn University researchers collected a mole-like animal, the northern short-tail shrew, in Camp Hill, thus naming the virus after the town, according to AL.com.
