Residents report seeing possible meteor

Residents report seeing an image much like this one in the local sky Monday night.

Did you see a shooting star Monday night? Or was it a flash of light streaking across the sky that had you rubbing your eyes?

If you did, there is no need to have your eyes examined. National Weather Service experts report receiving multiple inquiries from across Alabama, most reporting seeing “fireballs in the sky.”
